'On, Wisconsin' Anthem To Celebrate 100 Years

MADISON, Wis. (AP) ― Wisconsin's loyal sons and daughters will hail the state's signature anthem this week.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison band and concert choir plan to honor the 100th anniversary of the first performance of "On, Wisconsin" this week.

The band will hold a birthday party, complete with cake, at the campus union on Tuesday afternoon. The band also will put 100 tickets for its annual concert next April up for sale on its Web site throughout the day.

On Friday night, the choir will perform a version of the song doctoral composition student Jerry Hui wrote.
