Finally Feels Like Summer In Minnesota

(AP)

It finally feels like summer in Minnesota.

The National Weather Service says temperatures reached the upper 80s to low 90s in parts of southeastern Minnesota Wednesday. In southwestern Minnesota, the mercury soared to the mid 80s while temperatures ranged from the mid to upper 70s in the northeastern corner of the state.

It was hot in the Twin Cities, where the temperature reached 90.

Faribault, Lakeville, Owatonna and Red Wing also reached 90.

The hot weather caused a pavement buckle that closed two lanes of westbound Interstate 94 in Woodbury.

The weather service forecasts highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s Thursday. It will be cooler by Saturday, with highs in the 60s and 70s.
