Families Make The Most Of A Little Snow

(WCCO) The final snow tally for November in the Twin Cities was 4 inches. That is 6 inches below the average for the month of November. It was just enough snow to keep winter enthusiasts happy.

When Dean Abbott woke up and saw the snow Sunday morning, he took his family and their dog outside. Abbott likes this weather because it brings out his competitive side.

"We are just playing a game of keep-away. It's fun because we get to dominate the little kids," joked Abbott.

All kidding aside, the Abbott's said the snow is the reason they live in Minnesota.

"I like it because we can build snow forts and throw snowballs at each other," said 8-year-old Adeline Abbott.

The snow that fell across the Twin Cities was not celebrated by everyone.

It snowed just enough that Jenifer Rancour was forced to grab her shovel and clean off her sidewalk. That's OK for now, but she said she won't be the one holding the shovel when Old Man Winter puts 3 or 4 inches of snow on her front steps.

"No, my husband will be doing that," she laughed.
