Freeze Warning Issued For Northern Minn.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ―
A freeze warning is currently in effect in northwestern Minnesota -- and below freezing temperatures are expected in parts of the state Friday night.
Friday morning's freeze warning includes the cities of Baudette, Red Lake, Bemidji, Park Rapids and Wadena. A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely, and the conditions will kill crops. That warning expires at 10 a.m.
The National Weather Service said temperatures are expected to fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s in those areas again on Friday night.
Meanwhile, a frost advisory is in effect in Roseau, Warren, Thief River Falls, and surrounding areas. That advisory also expires at 10 a.m.
And winter is also moving into the southern part of the state. A frost advisory will go into effect in Winona and surrounding areas from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday.
