The VA Medical Center in Fargo, N.D., has transferred 14 veterans to the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud as a precautionary measure as the Red River Valley braces for potential flooding.
In a statement, the St. Cloud VA Medical Center said the 14 veterans were transferred Tuesday afternoon.
They are now at the VA's Community Living Center in St. Cloud.
St. Cloud VA staff members are helping the veterans stay in touch with their families while they are displaced. Medical Center Director Barry Bahl says the patients' health care was not interrupted.
