An unseasonable October snowfall is bringing 2 to 3 inches of snow to parts of southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin, and causing an average delay of 90 minutes for flights at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Spokesman Pat Hogan says the delays are mainly due to visibility problems. He says the runways don't need to be plowed because they are still warm enough that snow is melting on contact.
Hogan says travelers should check with their airline before coming to the airport.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation warned drivers to be prepared for changing road conditions. An earlier round of snow early Saturday was a factor in about 100 crashes.

From 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, the State Patrol said there were 17 crashes in the Twin Cities with damage, one person injured and three cars off the road. Statewide, there were a total of 33 crashes with damages, eight cars off the road and seven people injured.
