The warmer temperatures are great but officials say they can also make Minnesota dangerous.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is warning people of blue-green algae blooms that are starting to grow in Minnesota lakes. The algae can be toxic to people and pets.
MPCA officials say with the recent warmer temperatures and sunshine, conditions are ripe for the algae to bloom.
It's difficult to tell when algae could hurt you, so if you see anything algae it's best to stay away.
