Digging Out Of A Late April Snow Storm

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) ―

Many folks in western and northern Minnesota are still digging out of a snow storm that they hope is Old Man Winter's last gasp.

The storm dumped as much as 18 inches of snow on some parts of the state. Hawley got 15 inches with more than 10 inches falling in Hewitt.

The State Patrol closed Interstate 94 from Moorhead to Alexandria because of dangerous road conditions.

Forecasts called for temperatures in the 40s on Sunday, which should help melt the wet, heavy snow. The temperatures are about 20 degrees below normal.
