Minn. Hospital Volunteer Celebrates 100th Birthday

(WCCO) United Hospital helped one of its volunteers celebrate a very special birthday Monday -- one that was a century in the making.

Dorothy Schadegg, a long time volunteer at the hospital, just turned 100.

She jokingly said that she is in "special projects," which she said is basically doing tasks that other people don't want to do.

She doesn't quite understand all the fuss over her birthday and said she didn't do anything special to make it that far.

Schadegg said she feels more like she's 90 than 100 and plans to keep volunteering and taking care of her own yard and baking cookies.
