Health officials are urging people in the Columbia, S.D. area who might have had contact with a litter of baby skunks to get to the doctor because one of them has tested positive for rabies.
The Department of Health says the animals were apparently sold as pets.
People who've had direct contact with any of the skunks should be evaluated by their physician to see if they need rabies shots, especially anyone who was bitten or scratched.
