Man Rides Roller Coaster For 11 Days To Win Car

(WCCO) After 11 days on a roller coaster, a 23-year-old Maplewood, Minn. man was named the winner of KDWB's "Survive It and Drive It" contest.

Doug LeClair rode the Valleyfair roller coaster "Wild Thing" 1,581 times to win the car.

LeClair then stayed on the ride long enough to break last year's record of 1,603 rides.

The second-place finisher, 19-year-old Brittney Hagan, took a $2,500 bribe to get off the ride.

LeClair drove away in a new 2005 Toyota Scion.
