The Apple iPod has long been a hot item on the gadgets market - so hot that a Douglasville, Ga., man said that his literally caught on fire.
"I was just listening to it and poof," said Daniel Williams. "I was freaked out, but then I was like 'I've got to put it out somehow,' so I just started patting myself down."
William's iPod caught fire while he was working at the airport. The flames reached about a foot in the air, and left a hole in his pocket.
"I actually didn't realize it was my iPod until I pulled it out because when it exploded in my pocket," said Daniel Williams. "It was still playing so while I'm on fire I'm still listening to music."
The iPod uses a lithium ion batter which is the same type of batter that is under recall for setting some laptops on fire.
Williams said that he has contacted Apple and they are sending him a new iPod.
