Motorists hope one Ohio service station's mistake wasn't a sign of the future.
For several hours yesterday, a Speedway station in the Cincinnati suburb of West Chester advertised regular for $9.09 a gallon on a sign high above an interstate highway.
Motorists couldn't miss it as hundreds sat in traffic in the area following a crash on I-75 involving three tractor-trailers.
All one driver could say was, "No way," then adding that he wanted to go back to California.
The gas station fixed the numerical error late in the afternoon, putting the cost at $4.09.
One motorist grumbled that the sign will probably show the much heftier price for real before long.
