Good To Know: 'Whataya In For?' 'Egging A House'

(WCCO) One of the most viewed stories on WCCO.COM today doesn't seem to rank up there with the major news events we usually cover. So, again, Don Shelby examines a smaller story that has, apparently, struck a chord.

Have you ever egged a house? I mean, just chucked some eggs at the house of a person just for the fun of it, or because, maybe, it seemed like the right thing to do at the time?

If you have done that, don't do it again. You could face five years in prison.

According to police, a Tonka Bay lad of 18 had an argument with the daughter of the guy who owned the house. It is alleged by police that the boy then unloaded three dozen eggs against the side of it and woke up the occupants.

They found their siding had been ruined and replacement would cost them something north of $2500. Enter the cops, now the boy is charged with a felony. And I hope he makes restitution, if convicted.

But, prison? I'm not soft of crime but how do you answer the bad guys in stir who ask you, "Hey bad boy, whataya in for?"
