Man Falls From Bridge, Lands In Convertible

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― The Minnesota State Patrol says a man who jumped or fell off a bridge in Minneapolis and landed in a convertible below had self-inflicted injuries prior to the fall.

The man, who the State Patrol identified as 23-year-old Adam R. Hauf, fell from the Franklin Avenue bridge over Interstate 35W on Sunday afternoon.

Hauf landed on the windshield of a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder which was traveling northbound on 35W.

The driver of the open-top convertible sustained minor injuries. The State Patrol didn't report whether the passenger was hurt.

Hauf died of his injuries at the scene.
