There are many perks to having your team in the playoffs. For one thing, on Sunday just about everyone at Joe Senser's in Roseville was wearing purple and cheering for the Purple.
"Usually on game day it's half Packers fans, half Viking fans so it's nice to have no Packer fans in here," said fan Mark Elliot.
With the place pretty much to themselves, Vikings fans got to Joe Senser's early and they seemed hungry for the game. They had waited four years to see their team in the playoffs, and as the game wore on that was still sinking in for some fans.
"I think it's a shock that we're actually in the playoffs. I didn't think we'd actually get this far," said fan Brynn Johnson.
"It's really gratifying. We have a great offense. I'm hoping they can pull it out for us," said fan Ryan Liddiard.
But for every chance fans got to cheer, there was an equal moment of disappointment. As the Eagles started to pull away, the fans began to look back on the year that was.
"We've had entertaining ball to watch. We've had talented players. So even though we've had a playoff drought, we've still had an entertaining season," said Elliot.
When time finally ran out on the season, the analyzing began.
"We need changes. We need changes. That's the best way to describe it," said fan Tony Bill.
David Pikus said the players are in place for a playoff run next year
"Bernard Berrian, Jared Allen, Adrian Peterson, Tarvaris Jackson coming back next year. I feel really good about them. Very optimistic for next season," said Pikus.
