Bucs' Cadillac Williams Sits Out Against Vikings

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) ― Carnell "Cadillac" Williams' return to game action for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is still at least a week away.

The fourth-year pro, sidelined since September 2007 with a career-threatening knee injury, was inactive for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. He was moved from the reserve physically unable to perform list to the 53-man roster last Wednesday, then practiced the remainder of the week.

Tight end Alex Smith, safety Jermaine Phillips, quarterback Brian Griese, receiver Dexter Jackson, tackle James Lee and defensive tacke Greg Peterson also were inactive for the Bucs. Rookie Josh Johnson was the third quarterback.

Minnesota's inactives were linebacker Erin Henderson, tackle Marcus Johnson, defensive end Otis Grigsby, tight end Jeff Dugan, receiver Robert Ferguson and defensive tackle Letroy Guion. John David Booty was the third quarterback.
