Fmr. Vikings Player Arrested For Assault

(WCCO) Former Minnesota Vikings player Darrion Scott was arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection with an assault, according to Eden Prairie Police.

Scott, 26, a free agent defensive end, was arrested around 3:30 p.m.

According to the Hennepin County Jail roster, Scott is being held without bail on probable cause assault and malicious punishment of a child.

Police said a search warrant was being executed at his home Wednesday afternoon.

The case is under investigation and police have not released any other details at this time.

This isn't the first time Scott has had a run-in with the law. Last December, he was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession and failure to signal in Charleston, W. Va.
