Brett Favre is scheduled to address his potential desire to play again.
Favre is booked for the premier of Joe Buck Live, a quarterly show on cable network HBO examining sports and celebrity hosted by the longtime football and baseball announcer. The broadcast will originate from New York on Monday at 9 p.m. Eastern time in front of a live studio audience.
HBO spokesman Kevin Flaherty says Favre agreed in April to appear on the show at Buck's request. That was before his release from the New York Jets that prompted Minnesota's pursuit of the three-time NFL MVP.
The Vikings have had their eye on the 39-year-old quarterback, as he assesses the health of his throwing arm and his interest in coming out of retirement for a second straight year.

Favre announced his retirement from the Packers on March 4, 2008. He considered returning to football the following June.
