Hope For Leads, Officials Release Security Video
Marysville Township, Minn. (WCCO) ―
The Wright County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance video of a man they believe was involved in the homicide of a Marysville Township, Minn. woman, hoping to generate more leads in the investigation. Deputies found Ruth Ouverson, 58, dead inside her home Saturday afternoon. Investigators said it's possible she was killed Friday.
Investigators are looking for a dark blue, 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Minnesota license plate HVT-377. The vehicle belongs to Ouverson and authorities have store surveillance photographs of a subject driving this vehicle.
In the surveillance video, a man is seen using Ouverson's ATM card at a convenience store in Buffalo, Minn. at about 2:45 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3. Wright County authorities said that while at the store, the man asked customers for directions to Interstate 94, and he mentioned North Dakota.
On the same day, between 3:10 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., the same subject again used the victim's ATM card at convenience stores in Monticello. Surveillance video from Monticello also shows a passenger in the vehicle.
Wright County officials believe the homicide may be related to a burglary that occurred in Marysville Township on Aug. 1. According to authorities, about the same time of the burglary a man and woman were seen walking near that area.
If anyone has contact with this vehicle or the subject, they are asked to contact local law enforcement or the Wright County Sheriff's Office at 763 682-7622.
