Volunteers Needed To Clean Up Tornado Damage

Le Center, Minn. (AP) ― Le Sueur County is looking for volunteers Saturday as they continue to clean up damage from last month's tornado.

The Aug. 24 storm damaged or leveled dozens of homes and farm buildings. One man was killed.

Volunteers will work from 8 a.m. to noon to clean debris from fields and damaged farm sites. County officials say workers should wear long pants, long-sleeve shirts, comfortable shoes and work gloves.

Also needed are skid-loaders, lift trucks, hay wagons, dump trucks and rakes.

Registratoin for volunteers starts at 7 a.m. Saturday morning at the Le Sueur County Fairgrounds in Le Center.
