Tetanus Shots Given To Tornado Relief Volunteers

Le Center, Minn. (AP) ― Le Sueur County is making sure that families and volunteers are safe from tetanus at tornado recovery work sites.

The county sent a nurse to Kasota and Cleveland Monday to give shots to people working at tornado sites.

Anyone who hasn't had a tetanus shot in the last 10 years is at risk, said nurse Terri Horn.

Le Sueur County will offer tetanus shots at the public health office in the county courthouse for the rest of the week. They'll be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and are encouraging walk-ins.
