Pawlenty Wants Session Agreements In Writing
St. Paul (AP) ―
Gov. Tim Pawlenty says he'll insist that legislative leaders give him written agreements before he calls a special session this fall.
Pawlenty says this year's ugly legislative session showed that communication between leaders can easily get confused. He says that's why he wants to put it in writing.
The Republican governor meets tomorrow with top lawmakers to discuss a short special session that could include votes on stadiums for the Minnesota Gophers, Twins and Vikings.
Pawlenty spoke to reporters after giving a speech at a trade conference in downtown St. Paul.
