Fresh details on how the state of Minnesota spends its money are now just a mouse click away.
The
Transparency and Accountability Project Web site allows anyone with an Internet connection to look up state expenditures on everything from information technology to new Fords.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty demonstrated the site at a Capitol news conference.
It includes spending data for the last three fiscal years but doesn't offer detail in some categories, like payments to individuals.
Pawlenty says the site will allow taxpayers to watch how their money is used.
