2 Horses Shot In Head In Southern Minn.
Comfrey, Minn. (AP) ―
Two horses are recovering after being shot in the head in a Brown County pasture in southern Minnesota.
Authorities say one of the horses was shot on Dec. 5 and the second horse was shot two days later.
Deputies suspect the same person is responsible for shooting both horses. No arrests have been made.
Owner Jane Slander said one of the horses is expected to remain at a veterinary clinic for at least two months while she recovers.
Both horses had tracheotomies and lost a lot of blood, but are recovering.
Veterinarian Kathy Ott says she expects it wall take four to six months for the wounds to heal.
Anyone with any information on the shootings is asked to call the Brown County Sheriff's Office at (507) 233-6700.
