Carbon Monoxide Leak At Green Mill Hospitalizes 15

Shoreview, Minn. (WCCO) ― A carbon monoxide leak at a Green Mill restaurant in Shoreview, Minn. led to the hospitalization of 15 people Saturday evening.

People working at the restaurant complained of headaches and dizziness around 6:30 p.m. Fire and rescue teams were called.

The restaurant was evacuated after firefighters tested high levels of carbon monoxide in the air.

A wedding reception at the Hampton Inn next door also had to be evacuated, but was allowed to resume an hour later.

The restaurant blamed the incomplete repair of a water heater Saturday morning for the leak.

All of those hospitalized are expected to make full recoveries.
