Sunday, 17th Anniversary Of Wetterling Abduction

St. Joseph, Minn. (AP) ― Sunday is the 17th-anniversary of Jacob Wetterling's abduction.

Back on Oct. 22, 1989 Jacob was abducted on his way to a convenience store just a half mile from his home in St. Joseph, Minn. The eleven-year-old was with his brother and a friend when he was grabbed by a masked man and never seen again.

The Jacob Wetterling Foundation is asking people to keep their porch lights on tomorrow or to light a candle in honor of Jacob and every missing child.

The foundation's Alison Feigh says it's also a good time to remind children how special they are.

The Wetterling family remains hopeful that someone will come forward with the information that is needed to find Jacob.
