The seven southeastern Minnesota counties hit hardest by August flooding will get almost immediate access to $35 million in state flood relief.
State officials made the announcement at a community meeting in Rushford this morning.
They say the economic development money will be distributed as forgivable loans and loans with low interest rates. Local governments in the flood zone will administer them.
The money was approved during this week's special session.
