Search Warrant Gives Details On Rape Investigation

Minneapolis (WCCO) ― A search warrant released Tuesday provided additional insight into rape accusations against three University of Minnesota football players.

The alleged victim in the case told police she went to the players' apartment in University Village and got drunk on vodka. That's when the 18-year-old said the men assaulted her in a bedroom.

To help identify her attackers, the woman told investigators she used the players' cell phones to call her phone.

Alex Daniels, Keith Massey and E.J. Jones spent a weekend in jail based on those accusations, but prosecutors let the three go without charging them.

Police are still working on the case. Officers took bedding, couch cushion covers, shirts, cell phones and condoms from the apartment as evidence.
