Search For Missing SCSU Student Returns To River
St. Cloud, Minn. (WCCO) ―
Police returned to the Mississippi River Monday to resume the search for a missing St. Cloud State University student.
Scot Radel, 21, has been missing for more than a week. He was last heard from when he called friends after leaving a downtown St. Cloud, Minn. bar on Feb. 2.
Monday, police plan to return to an area of the Mississippi River to finish up a search from last Friday. Then they'll search an area near a hydroelectric dam.
About 75 people attended a vigil for Radel Sunday night. The participants lit candles and formed what they called a circle of hope.
Radel's father, Allen Radel, and his sister, Stephanie Radel, were overcome with grief at times during the hour-long prayer service held on campus.
Scot Radel's father said he won't give up until he finds his son.
The family is asking anyone who saw Scot Radel the night he disappeared or who has any information to please contact the family or police.
