Funeral Today For Slain Lino Lakes Officer

Funeral services are set for Monday for Lino Lakes, Minn. police officer Shawn Silvera, who died in the line of duty.
Silvera was hit as he laid out spike sticks to try to stop a stolen car on Interstate 35W on Tuesday. The driver of the car, 26-year-old Steven D. Stanke, has been charged with intentional second-degree murder. Stanke was wanted on felony charges in South Dakota.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty has ordered that all U.S. and Minnesota flags in the State Capitol complex be flown at half-staff in remembrance of Silvera Monday.
The governor will attend Silvera's funeral at the Epiphany Catholic Church in Coon Rapids, Minn. Monday afternoon.
Silvera is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and two young children.
