NWA, Flight Attendants Plan To Meet This Week

Minneapolis (AP) ― Northwest Airlines CEO Doug Steenland says the airline still hopes to make a deal with its flight attendants.

The Association of Flight Attendants said mediated talks are planned for Friday.

Flight attendants have been fighting for the right to strike over the imposed contract. They're awaiting a decision by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Union spokesman Ricky Thornton said nothing has changed with either side's position.
