Court Date Set For Neff Lake Murder Case

Virginia, Minn. (AP) ― A 25-year-old man was scheduled to appear in St. Louis County District Court on Sept. 5 in the killing of a Minneapolis man.

Andy Wetherill was indicted on first- and second-degree murder charges in the death of Gabriel Gonzalez of Minneapolis, whose body was pulled from Neff Lake south of Aurora in May 2005.

Wetherill was being held on $1 million bail.

Wetherill has also been charged with interference with a dead body.

He was arrested Aug. 14 in south Minneapolis on an active St. Louis County arrest warrant.
