There are still plenty of questions about the Minnesota Twins new stadium. But one thing is now clear -- Hennepin County has put a value on the land on which the stadium will be built.
Court documents show that the privately held site has been appraised at $13.35 million.
A judge authorized the county's possible condemnation of the property in downtown Minneapolis, saying the 40,000, open-air stadium served a "public purpose" under the law.
Landowners told the judge they would not contest the project's public purpose or appeal the judge's final condemnation ruling.
It's still unknown how close the county is to striking a deal with the landowners, what the sale price eventually will be and whether the negotiations will delay the completion date set for early 2010.
