Driver Convicted In Sealy Death Pleads Guilty

Minneapolis (AP) ― The man convicted of killing Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Sealy six years ago in a drunk driving crash has pleaded guilty to another DWI.

Souksangouane Phengsene, 50, of Shakopee, Minn. pleaded guilty Wednesday and faces another prison term.

Phengsene was arrested in October and was charged with two counts of drunk driving.

Court papers show he was tested at the police station and his blood-alcohol-content registered at 0.21. That's nearly three times the legal limit.

Phengsene was driving the wrong way on Highway 100 when he hit Sealy's vehicle in 2000. He was sentenced to four years in prison for that crash and was released in 2003.

He will be sentenced on the new charges on Nov. 30.
