Little League World Series Ends For Coon Rapids

South Williamsport, Pa. (AP) ― Kyle Pechloff and Connor Woods had clutch hits in a seven-run fifth inning that propelled Chandler, Arizona, past Coon Rapids, Minnesota, 9-2. Arizona clinches a semifinal berth at the Little League World Series.

Seth Fretheim went 2-for-3 and drove in four runs for Chandler, which will play Warner Robins, Georgia, in the U.S. semifinals.

The Arizona team sent 11 boys to the plate in the top of the fifth, which started with a 2-2 tie.

Chandler loaded the bases, and Pechloff's bouncer off reliever Tanner Lowe got through the hole on the left side of the infield, scoring two runs.
