Rally Planned In Memory Of Woman Found In Ditch
Minneapolis (AP) ―
A rally is scheduled today to remember a slain Minneapolis woman.
The body of Laura DeMeules, 33, was found earlier this month in a ditch near Northfield, Minn.
DeMeules apparently had been killed elsewhere. She was beaten to death.
Organizers are planning a 6 p.m. rally in south Minneapolis to remember DeMeules. They also hope to call attention to prostitution and violence against women.
City Council member Gary Schiff says Demeules had a history of prostitution.
