Nine Minnesotans made Forbes magazine's list of American billionaires.
Topping the Minnesota list is Richard Schulze. The wealth of the founder of Best Buy Company is estimated at $4 billion. Schulze was number 214 on the national list.
Minnesota Twins owner and banker Carl Pohlad is next on the list with an estimated fortune of $2.6 billion. Just behind Pohlad at $2.3 billion is Minnesota Timberwolves owner and printing magnate Glen Taylor.
Sisters Barbara Carlson Gage and Marilyn Carlson Nelson and their families of Carlson Companies were tied for fourth with an estimated $2 billion each.
The next three on the list, each with an estimated $1.7 billion, are DirectTV's Stanley Stub Hubbard, and brothers Cargill MacMillan Junior and Whitney MacMillan, who inherited their money.
The other Minnesotan listed is Dwight Opperman, who made his estimated $1 billion in publishing.
