Paying Tribute To 'The Last Flagraiser'

Bloomington, Minn. (WCCO) ― People came out to Bloomington, Minn. Saturday to pay tribute to a Minnesota veteran known as "The Last Flagraiser."

Chuck Lindberg is a WWII veteran and the last living Iwo Jima flagraiser. He signed autographs and greeted patrons at Bloomington Chrysler Jeep.

Lindberg was one of the U.S. Marines who raised a flag on Japan's Mt. Suribachi during WWII, paving the way for one of America's most iconic photographic images.

Lindberg's story was told in "The Last Flagraiser," a WCCO-TV documentary that aired in February.
