Fundraiser Nets $10K For Carlsen Twins

Fargo, N.D. (AP) ― A fundraiser has netted $10,000 for formerly conjoined twins Abbigail and Isabelle Carlsen.

Friday's event at the Hornbacher's Southgate store was sponsored by the Fargo Jaycees. The event included a visit by the girls and their parents, Amy and Jesse Carlsen.

The formerly conjoined twins were separated during a lengthy operation last month at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The girls were born attached at the diaphragm, pancreas and liver.

The twins returned home to Fargo earlier this month.
