WCCO-TV's WE POWER at the 2008 Minnesota State Fair is back!
Last year fair goers created nearly 27 kilowatt hours at the fair by biking at the WCCO booth. That energy went on to create enough human-generated power to sustain several newscasts during the 12 days of the Minnesota State Fair.
From Aug. 21, 2008 through Sept. 1, 2008, you can hop on one of our bikes again and together, we will create enough energy to human-power our newscasts.
And this year we thought it would be fun to take WE POWER on the State Fair road too! In addition to our newscasts, we'll be powering up places all around the State Fair to share the people-power. Look for WE POWER at such fun places as:
