State Fair Attendance Up
ST. PAUL (AP) ―
Minnesota State Fair officials say attendance at this year's fair was up from the previous year.
This year's attendance of 1,693,533 surpassed 2007 State Fair attendance figures by nearly 12,000.
And despite high gas prices and questions about the state of the economy, officials say food and beverage sales at the State Fair were also up this year.
The 2009 State Fair starts August 27 and runs through Labor Day.
