Daily from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m., WCCO-TV, along with partner Xcel Energy, will distribute a total of 35,000 WCCO-TV WE POWER at the STATE FAIR "Blue Sky Guide" books

The books will be handed out inside a cool and oh so fashionably green (but it's really black and red) 'We Powered' reusable bag! This State Fair Special Edition of the "Blue Sky Guide," co-branded with WCCO-TV WE POWER and Xcel Energy, is a one-of-a-kind resource, specially created for our fairgoers -- a coupon book, a directory, a source of ideas and inspiration -- a guide to living well and having fun in the Twin Cities region.
People are able to save hundreds of dollars while exploring the community and supporting local, sustainable businesses. State Fair visitors will hold onto this FREE resource book using the valuable green coupons/information beyond the fair for a year or more.
Giveaways For Bike Riders
All riders receive a tattoo -- we appreciate any and all of your energy!
Riders who contribute 200 watt minutes will get a "Capt'n Power" orange bandana.
Riders who generate 500 watt minutes will have a choice of a white "lightning bolt We Power plug" or a sky blue "I Made Power" design T-shirt. (
