Vikings Trade DE Erasmus James To Redskins
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) ―
The Minnesota Vikings have rescinded the waiving of former first-round draft pick Erasmus James and traded him to Washington.
The Vikings placed the defensive end on waivers on Friday. But they rescinded that transaction on Tuesday and dealt the injury-prone James to the Redskins for a conditional seventh-round draft pick.
James totaled five sacks in three seasons after being chosen 18th overall out of Wisconsin in the 2005 draft. He tore the ACL in his right knee in 2006 and again in 2007, putting his football career in jeopardy.
