Twins Fans Pack Dome One Last Time

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― For one more time fans packed into the Metrodome to see their Minnesota Twins. They came in by the thousands with one thing on their minds -- a win against the Yankees.

"The fans bring out the best in the Twins," said fan Becky Roe.

Yankee's fans said the Twins will need a miracle to win, but die-hard Twins fans disagreed.

They said the magic of the Metrodome would help guide this team to victory, forcing one more game at home.

"With the Dome we have power, Metrodome Magic," said fan Meghan Shore.

It's Magic that fans hoped will translate to hits, runs and scores.

Although everyone is pulling for the Twins, many can't help but think ahead to next season and a new stadium.

"I can't wait for the new ballpark. it's going to be fun to be outside in weather like this and when we're winning the series every year. It will be great," said Roe.

But all agree it's OK to delay thought of the move to Target Field for just a little while longer.

This do or die situation at home has many fans crossing their fingers and hoping the Metrodome Magic can pull in one more victory to keep this Twins alive in the playoffs.

"Hopefully the Dome field advantage comes through for us," said fan Nick Casey.

But not if Yankee fans have anything to do with it. They say a sweep of the Twins is their wish.

No matter what happens, Twins fans say they know that Metrodome Magic will follow this team to their new home, Target Field.
