The Homer Hanky is back. And just in time.
The Minnesota Twins, also known as the American League Central Division Champions, and the Star Tribune have announced plans to bring back the Homer Hanky, just in time for the team's push for another World Series Championship.
The beloved Homer Hanky will be sold for $2 at the Twins Pro Shop in Roseville, Apple Valley and Minnetonka -- plus the Metrodome ticket office and throughout the concourse during postseason games.
The infamous hanky was a trademark of the Twins' 1987 and 1991 championship seasons and made a comeback for the 2002-2004 and 2006 postseasons.
A portion of the Homer Hanky proceeds will be donated to the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, which enriches local and regional communities by providing resources for the healthy development of children and families through an association with baseball, softball and the Minnesota Twins.
