Tiebreaker Tickets On Sale Now For Twins-Tigers

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ― Tickets for the Minnesota Twins tiebreaker game against the Detroit Tigers went on sale minutes after the Twins victory today.

The Twins's Web site slowed down Sunday night due to the heavy demand for the 163rd game of the season on Tuesday.

The game will decide which team advances to the playoffs. If the Twins lose, it will be final Twins games in the venerable Metrodome since the team moves to a new stadium next year.

Major League Baseball says the Twins will be the first club ever to play such a tiebreaker in consecutive years, having lost the AL Central tiebreaker to the White Sox in 2008.

The game starts at 4 p.m.
