Grier, Coleman, Longer On Wolves' Summer Team

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ― Two former Gophers and a native of Rochester have been invited to play on the Minnesota Timberwolves' summer league team.

Guard Vince Grier and forward Dan Coleman will represent the maroon and gold starting next weekend in Las Vegas, with 20 other NBA teams participating. Center Longar Longar is on the list, too. The graduate of John Marshall High School played four seasons at Oklahoma. Former Michigan State star Drew Neitzel is also going.

Undrafted players are usually long shots to stick with the team beyond the summer league. Rookie Kevin Love and last year's draft picks, Corey Brewer and Chris Richard, will anchor the 10-man team. The Wolves contingent will play five games over 10 days.
