Colorado College Beats Minn. Duluth 6-2 In WCHA

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) ― Bill Sweatt had two goals and an assist as Colorado College avenged its first conference loss by beating Minnesota-Duluth 6-2 Saturday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

The Tigers (5-2-1, 4-1-1 WCHA) gave up two third-period goals in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Bulldogs (6-3-1, 3-2-1). On Saturday, CC scored three power-play goals in the final period to pull away.

The Tigers were 4-for-7 with a man advantage. Sweatt, Mike Testwuide, Rylan Schwartz and Tim Hall scored on the power play. Sweatt and William Rapuzzi also scored at even strength.

Schwartz assisted on two goals.

The Bulldogs got goals from Kyle Schmidt and Mike Seidel. Dylan Olson had a pair of assists.

CC goalie Joe Howe got back into the win column after suffering his first loss on Friday by stopping 34 shots.

UMD's Brady Hjelle had 30 saves.
