Good To Know: St. Paul Can Stand Tall
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ―
It is a story that is about a 150-years-old. St. Paul has always
suffered a national insecurity complex when compared to its twin
sister: Minneapolis. Don says, people of St. Paul can now stand tall,
at least taller than Minneapolis.
The breathtaking news comes
from a study by Children's Health Magazine. It wanted to find the
places in the United States that are the best places to raise children.
More than 30 factors were considered, and the judging was
serious. The judges looked at cost of living, travel time to work,
income, health, air quality, obesity rates and infant mortality.
Minneapolis finished at number 18 on the list. Not bad.
But, St. Paul ranked number 12 in the whole United States among the best places parents could raise children.
Burlington, Vermont was number one. Our neighbors Madison, Wis. was number two and Fargo came in at number three.
St. Paul beat out San Francisco, New York City, Washington, D.C, and Minneapolis didn't.
Two in the top 20. Apparently, the old Twin Cities competition is good for kids.
